Redfallen are humans who are born with special abilities, meant to align the entropy of the universe in relation to mankind. When humans begin to act in a way that stifles their progression, Redfallen are randomly born to move humans forward. Redfallen's skills are based on the circumstances of their birth.
Sometimes, a Redfallen never discovers their power. It takes a special event to awaken them.
Known Redfallen in history are Joan of Arc, Vincent van Gogh, and Socrates.
Known Redfallen in the story are Claire and Cecil.
The name "Redfallen" is derived from the their untimely deaths.
Gravefallen are Redfallen born from the individual known as Claire, who has the ability to create people like Redfallen. However, unlike Redfallen, Gravefallen are created from death rather than birth. They obtain abilities based on the circumstances of their death. Their power is weak at first, and strengthens as they become used to their ability. Dying again awards them another power, but they lose all proficiency they may have gained with their previous ability.
People can only become Gravefallen if they have a body and soul strong enough, and if they die in Claire's "aura." Not everyone is meant to be Gravefallen- Most who die around Claire wake up alive again, with no recollection of their deaths. Their body attempted to become Gravefallen but failed. Claire erased the memory of their deaths to prevent suspicion.
All Gravefallen have a tattoo on their body with their number of deaths (ex. 07) placed by Claire.
Known Gravefallen are all player characters within the story, Weaver, Emil, Booker, Brook, Brande, Leafie, Vincent, Erin, Lucky, Orion.
Last Word is an ability unique to Gravefallen, which overrides their body's natural limit to invoke death in exchange for maximum power.
All player characters can use Last Word at their discretion if they have learned about it. This will cause their character to die, but can drastically change the course of a roleplay.
Use with caution.
Characters who die via Last Word do not obtain a new power, but receive an upgrade of their base power.Every Redfallen and Gravefallen has three counters.
Redfallen can only counter Redfallen and Gravefallen can only counter Gravefallen.
Counters are people that a character will ALWAYS win, lose, or tie against due to the nature of their power.
Win Counter- Your character will ALWAYS win against this character (Example: Nova [who controls blood] will always win against Sybil [who uses blood to make weapons.])
Tie Counter - Your character will ALWAYS tie against this character. (Example: Claire [who makes Gravefallen from people who die] will always tie against Cecil [who can reset fate, but not change it.])
Lose Counter- Your character will ALWAYS lose against this character. (Example: Aradia [who can fly] will always lose against Julien [who can use telekinesis]
You can try to figure out your character's counters on your own by roleplaying. Consider it like a minigame!
